VEGAN & CRUELTY-FREE CERTIFICATION
• VEGAN CERTIFICATION
Products made exclusively from plant-based ingredients, excluding any animal-derived substances.
• CRUELTY-FREE CERTIFICATION
Certification for products not tested on animals in any phase of development.
PETA (USA), an animal rights organization, grants the Cruelty-Free certification. To qualify, neither the final product nor its ingredients may be tested on animals. It is one of the most recognized standards for ethical consumption.
An international certification for organic and natural cosmetics, jointly established by AISBL (Belgium), with founding members including BDIH (Germany), Cosmebio and Ecocert (France), ICEA (Italy), and the Soil Association (UK).
Vegan Action provides vegan certification in the United States. It prohibits the use of all animal-derived ingredients and animal testing. Applicable to both food and cosmetics, this certification is highly trusted by North American consumers.
To meet ECOCERT standards, at least 95% of the total ingredients (including water and minerals) must be of natural origin, and a minimum of 10% must be certified organic ingredients.
The Leaping Bunny certification is awarded to products that are not tested on animals. It requires proof that no animal testing is conducted throughout the entire supply chain. Note: Products may still contain animal-derived ingredients, so it is not equivalent to vegan certification.
